Hey React Day Berlin attendees!

To make sure you enjoy the conference on December 6 as much as possible, we’ve prepared a quick guide for you to get around.

🗓 Program

🎟 How to register?

React Day Berlin will start at 8:20 with registration at KOSMOS (Karl-Marx-Allee 131A, 10243 Berlin).

Make sure you come early as the conference opening starts at 9:10, and the registration process can take significant time.

Prepare your tickets — there’s no need to print them out, just save them on your phone, and show them at the registration. We’ll have 2 types of lanyards for your badges: white ones mean you’re OK with being photographed, black ones — you don’t want any photos taken of you.

🚘 Parking Area

There is a paid parking lot (3 eur per day) close to the venue, it is reachable by Ludwig-Pick-Straße.

🗓 Schedule

The last talk finishes at 18:30, followed by a 1.5h break before the party. React Day Berlin Afterparty will start at 20:00, with Aliceffekt with their latest creation ORCA — a full blown text based sequencer — followed by an AV performance by the UK group Polyop.

The full conference schedule is available on the website.

🗣 GitNation Open Source Stage

As a part of our GitNation vision (the team behind React Day Berlin), we would like to give some stage time to devs engaged in the React /JS / Software community.

Do you have a specific OSS project you’d like to present in front of the React Advanced crowd? The Open Source Stage is the place to do so! In a 30-minute format at 14:00 following the Lunch break, the stage will be ready for your idea presented in a 5 to 7-minute segment. To sign up, simply fill out this form.

🛠 GitNation Hobby Track

Some of us have hobbies — sometime weird ones, sometimes exciting ones, sometimes it’s just an exciting pet project and sometimes it’s something totally different. Come and talk about something that excites you. Your hobby, your passion. Not necessarily code related but different. To sign up for a talk, fill out this form!

☕️ Lunch & Coffee breaks

There will be coffee breaks and lunch served at the conference.

There will be 3 lunch options: vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. If you have an allergy that is not included in the above options, please let us know as soon as possible.

🎉 Extended Program

React Day Berlin will start earlier than on December 6 and some pretty cool pre-events are waiting for you.

🎊 Pre-Party meetup

Come to the Official React Day Berlin Pre-Party meetup on December 5th at expertlead office (Charlottenstraße 4, 10969 Berlin)!

The Pre-Party meetup organized in collaboration with React GraphQL Academy.

Find all the details here.

👾 Computer Game Museum guided tours

React Day Berlin is not just about the in-depth talks and hands-on workshops. It’s first and foremost about meeting your fellow React developers and networking in a casual setup.

Join us and visit one of our guided tours in Berlin’s Computer Game Museum showcasing the coolest retro games and consoles for free. Just fill out the form. Hurry up as the places are limited! :)

👩🏽‍💻 Online engagement

The official hashtag of the conference is #ReactDayBerlin.

There is free wi-fi available at the conference venue (SSID: GitNation) but if you can rely on your mobile connection, we recommend you do so. We expect 800+ attendees at the conference, and the signal might get spotty.

💬 Slack

We have an official Slack chat where you can meet and team up with fellow attendees. Join it with this invite link.

📺 YouTube live stream

Both tracks of the conference will be streamed on our YouTube channel, in case you’d like to watch a part of it or invite your friends and colleagues to share the experience with you.

💻 Speaker slides

Some speakers will share their slides with us and they will be accessible in this public folder. The slides will be later included in the separate talk recordings on YouTube.

👋 Conduct

🤝 Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, and crew are expected to behave respectfully towards each other regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, disability or tech choices. Harassment of others will not be tolerated and attendees who disregard our code of conduct will be removed from the venue.

Longer version: Code of Conduct.

🚨 Emergency contacts

In case you need help or assistance, don’t hesitate to approach our crew (they’ll be wearing branded T-shirts) or send an email to hi@reactday.berlin.

Berlin Emergency Number for getting help from Police or reporting fire somewhere or to get ambulance for yourself or some other patient is 112.

♿️ Accessibility

The venues are wheelchair accessible, and all-gender restrooms will be provided for all attendees.

The city of Berlin has an accessibility guide for people with disabilities. Here are the details.
