This is not just a story. Its an experience or rather a nightmare that most women in this country and many other regions of the world face, live and somehow endure.

I feel myself very much as a bird. A bird who wants to explore the sky but it can’t because she is a captive to the princess. A princess who loves it but at the same time cannot let go of it. It the suffocating type of love, the toxic kind but the bird cannot walk away from this relationship. No, its not because I am a coward or I am self destructive, its just because the relationship is of parents and their child.

I am an 18 year old girl from a middle class family with middle class conservative parents who care more about me being homely, meek, someone who will be a good — daughter — in — law, and obedient than being just myself.

Trust me this is not another rouged teenage blog, it has more raw feelings than that, at least to me.
