Self-awareness
Summer whisks away, the wind bit my soul.
The brisk, bitter, breeze pushed me away;
As I ran I got further from my goal.
People judged and called; yet still there I stray.
Leaving lov’d ones, I let go my sins,
Turn and never look back, just go away.
Running and leaping lets go for a spin,
Away from the demons and monsters
Recognize your time, I’m not a “has been”
Don’t hide yourself, don’t be an imposter
Whether you flight or you fight, be who you are
Don’t dwell on the past, don’t let fear foster
Start a battle against thy foe and scar;
Since life is as fragile as a freight car.
