Honesty for Runaways

You maintain relationships in life with people of several stripes. Sometimes you even “un-friend” someone who has disappointed or offended you.

The truth is we have allowed ourselves to get thin-skinned. We let others hurt our feelings — intentionally or innocently — and suffer the dilemma of choosing a proper reaction. But by whose standards are we making this decision? Is a reaction necessary? Appropriate? Tasteful?

Which position you defend or attack says what type of person you desire to be yourself. There are two sides of an issue. Can you be proud of yourself and remain content, or, must you attempt to inflict your opinion on a person espousing different views?

Whatever you do, vote.
