A Very Special Moment

Last night I sat next to my grandfather in the Estadio Olympico as Wayde Van Niekerk ran a 43.03 second 400M and shattered the world record.

A record that’s been standing for 20 years.

A record set by Michael Johnson.

A record that I witnessed in person.

While sitting next to my grandfather in the Centennial Olympic stadium.

I’m not sure which Grandson lottery I won but I couldn’t be happier my number hit.

If you have one — take a moment and enjoy two amazing moments in Olympic history.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
