Lisa Leone perhaps the world is telling you that you must go on your own in order to find the level of success you clearly want and deserve. You’re not alone in your opinion though. I attended a conference in April where the Editor in Chief of NatGeo (a woman) mentioned that the problem with “leaning in is the precariousness of the balance.” She was called “bossy” and “bitchy” throughout her career and has always made less than her male counterparts. You’re at a fork in the road, to your left you can lean in, to your right you can continue to work and be called difficult, why don’t you just go straight? Find your path, you have what it takes.
