With an overwhelming focus on one tribe, this week’s power rankings look between the lines and dig deep on Yase dynamics.

Welcome back to our weekly Survivor 41 power rankings, looking at who’s out in front, who’s floating in the middle, and who’s on the chopping block ahead of episode 3.

Last week we saw the lowest-rated player from the “In the Mix” category, David Voce, voted out, continuing the trend of players that received out-of-gameplay intro packages getting a quick boot from the game. I have reason to believe that will happen soon, which I’ll get into below.

Let’s get into the Survivor 41 episode 3 power rankings!

CBS

Frontrunners

Shan Smith: We saw little of the Ua tribe, yet we still saw Shan holding all of the tribe’s information. Shan saw Brad sneak up on JD and Ricard, trusted her to keep his secret, then relayed that information to Ricard to further trust with one another. She continues to be a mafia pastor in this game.

Evvie Jagoda: Though she had an up-and-down, ultimately, she’s deeply protected on Yase. She was on the ground floor for Xander’s power, used that information to entrench her alliance against the men further, and gained the trust of Deshawn on Luvu by giving minimal information and an extra vote.

I’m concerned that Tiffany’s paranoia drove the vote her way, but it seems as though Evvie only had five minutes back on the island before Tribal Council. Still, the edit remains sacrosanct.

Deshawn Radden: We already know Sydney has his back, and Danny is his closest, but now Evvie is looking out for him, has an extra vote, and even got a substantive highlight on Vote Wheel Island. With Luvu getting very little screentime, highlighting Deshawn remains a pivotal player on the tribe.

In the Mix

Danny McCray: With zero lines this week and being the focal point of strength on the tribe, Danny received a cooldown episode after a hot premiere. It doesn’t bode well for his overall winning chances, though.

Tiffany Seely: Once again, Tiffany received a very mixed edit where she let her team down yet received touches of heroism, confidence in her alliance, and ultimately getting who she wanted out of the game. I’m getting mad Adam Klein vibes, both from his winning game and when he played a wild post-merge game.

Liana Wallace: She’s seemingly a step closer to Evvie than Tiffany, and the latter’s blowup comparatively illustrated her gameplay and reasoning. There’s a severe lack of personal content so far, yet the fact she’s still getting screentime must bode well for longevity.

Ricard Foye: Pushing right past receiving a vote last week, Ricard made up with JD and had Shan back him up by revealing Brad’s Tony Vlachos stealth methods. He has a good game sense, and the right people are backing him up.

Middle / Swing Players

Erika Casupanan: Giving Erika little content in the tribe yet to go to tribal council speaks to an underedited late-game player and the little interaction of Deshawn joking about being an easy victory option in the Final Four fire-making seems essential to me.

Heather Aldret: Can’t be in trouble if we don’t know who you are!

Syndey Segal: Sydney gave great content for Naseer’s importance on the Luvu tribe, yet she gave Deshawn the head’s up about Naseer targeting him last week. She might be a swing player on Luvu.

Genie Chen: She has to be somewhat in the know since she split a vote by writing down Ricard on Day 2. However, we learned nothing more this week.

In Trouble / Potential Targets

JD Robinson: Ricard saying that he was appeasing JD in his chat at the well shows me that the youngest Survivor alumnus is still on the radar. Brad and JD being the closest on the tribe might drag down his game in the end, even if that end isn’t at the next tribal council.

Brad Reese: From telling a player he wants to vote them out to telling on yourself about sneaking around camp, Brad has the theory of Survivor play but can’t execute in practice. Now he has Ricard coming after him next.

Naseer Muttalif: I’m very wary of Naseer getting the hero edit early, especially after Voce got shoehorned content and got the boot in episode 2. The fact that Sydney ratted him out last week and has “changed” her mind to him being the most important this week with no outside verification tells me the show wants to maximize his feel-good story before he is voted out reasonably soon.

Xander Hastings: Were it not for the complicated rules of the Beware Advantage, Xander would have been voted out at the last tribal council. He doesn’t even have a vote to sacrifice for a shot in the dark! He needs others to find an idol on two separate tribes, but he’s still a number one target on Yase.
