Hey Joe, hope you had a good weekend :)

To be honest I feel like your thinking is somewhat narrow minded.

Painters paint. Chefs cook. Designers design, but what? Visual designers design visuals, but what is that limited to? Experience designers design experiences, but what is that limited to?

The public knows us best for technology but as an internal agent of the field we all know it’s not limited only to digital interfaces. However, we must project something publicly or we’ll be lost at sea.

Unlike painters, chefs, and other fields that are not only a noun but a verb, Experience Design as we know it hasn’t been around long. That means we’re still developing the field and its definition.

I really couldn’t care less what I’m called as long as I get to keep doing what I’m doing.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
