What if they didn’t? What would that look like? Seems like the real problem is news outlets ceding promotion of articles and their overall marketing message to platforms they can’t control (FB, Snapchat, “social”). What would a media company look like that didn’t do that? Could it succeed; is there a ceiling on its growth?
