Super Cool Things We Did Last 6 Months

In January 2016, our founder was selected by community leaders to participate in British Council’s Active Citizens Program which helped him to learn some of the best approaches in satisfying our propositions.

Active Citizens is a social leadership training programme that promotes intercultural dialogue and community-led social development. Learn more about this initiative here.

The 3rd and 4th editions of our brilliant Future Executives Business Breakfast Meeting will forever be in the minds of the participants. Collectively, this forum provided mentorship opportunities to 200+ entrepreneurs, and was accessed in over 8 countries around the world via the live streaming. Read the fantastic recap of both events here and here. Relive the moments with the live feed here.

SpeedUPAfrica was created by Toro Orero, Managing Partner of DraperDarkFlow; a Silicon Valley VC Fund backed by legendary Investor Tim Draper, who was also in attendance. We got selected among 99 other startups for this epic event.

SFAN was name-dropped among 24 startups to look out for by SpeedUPAfrica and our founder was nominated by Singularity University to participate in the newly launched Global Impact program. More on this.

One of our goals is to help young people have a smooth transition from college to career through mentorship, capacity development and job/internship placement. To achieve the job/internship placement angle of this, we have partnered with YNG Interns Africa to make internship/job opportunities more accessible to a greater number of youths. Have a look at the impressive platform here.
