so, you guys, what’s the 411?

FinLit — (noun) financial literacy, being in-the-know when it comes to making money moves. “everyone should have to take a FinLit class in school.”

HAPPY APRIL!! in addition to being Stress Awareness Month (aren’t they all?), Pets are Wonderful Month (never doubted that), and National Humor Month (lol), April happens to be Financial Literacy Month! So, here are a few ways to make April more lit, financially speaking:

  • we might be biased, but the best first step on the road to financial literacy is taking Real World Ready, our online course that tells you everything you need to know about being a grownup. use discount code FINLIT for 50% off until April 30th — basically, you can’t afford not to take it.
  • know your credit score — we bet you remember what you scored on the SATs and what your GPA was from college, but do you know your real world GPA (aka credit score)? uhh huh we thought not…look it up A$AP with one of the three credit agencies!
  • trim the fat on your everyday expenses — still listen to that podcast you subscribed to on Patreon? really feel the need to have Hulu, Netflix, cable and Prime Video? that’s a lot of content…use it or lose it! figure out where you might be able to save each month and put that money to work.

so let’s make it rain in April, the FinLit way!
