I disagree on this point. Thanks to the iPhone we are now used to it in our day-to-day life. Showing the “is-typing” message is kinda like an loading indicator. Not getting this indicator after I texted somebody (even a bot) feels like getting ignored (not cool, even not from a bot). Especially when the bot needs some time to resolve my request.
