The Safe, Boring, and Extremely Cheap Drug That Could Cure Aging

I’m a type 2 diabetic and have been on the maximum allowable dose of Metformin for the last 4 years. I’m assuming that, because of my illness, I won’t get the benefits of this drug that a person with a healthy blood sugar level, would get. In order for the drug to have an impact on aging — one must first have a no metabolic illness, a functioning pancreas, and normal blood sugar levels. Is my assumption correct?
