This is why I always prefer to read content, rather than listen or watch a video. I can read(or skim) in a fraction of the time it would take to listen to someone read the same text. If I absolutely must listen to the video I’ll always look for the transcript instead, or else listen to it while I’m driving, to at least feel like I’m not wasting so much time. There’s probably a generational aspect to my preference, having come of age in the era of books, printed magazines, and slow Internet connections.
