I’m seeing some assumptions in the article that weren’t backed up. 1) Whites fleeing are liberals. Who says so? This is Georgia we’re talking about, famous for its prejudices and right-wing politics. Income isn’t a predictor of politics. 2) People should be able to perceive the differences between Asians. Unless you’re from there, how can the average white American (or any other race, for that matter) distinguish between those from Vietnam, Thailand, various provinces of China, etc? And why would they? And, 3) the assumption that whites are fleeing the better academic standards of Asians is itself prejudiced. She bases this on a few conversations she’s had. I see a lot of prejudice in this author, too.
