Litecoin Foundation-China, To Grow With The Community
When I tell someone we are based in China, the most frequently asked question is “Didn’t China ban crypto altogether?” The answer usually requires a lengthy and somewhat complex explanation, but today I want to tell you a different story. It is the story of Litecoin Foundation-China.
Formed in April, 2019, as an extension of the Litecoin Foundation, LF China is also committed to supporting the development and promotion of Litecoin. I was proud to join as the first volunteer to help foster the Litecoin community in China.
Normally, with a project in its infancy, there is little help from the outside and the early members are forced to be extremely resourceful and self sufficient. However, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of support from the community in a very short time. We’ve since grown the team to 10 volunteers and have our sights set on even more growth.
I can’t say I’m surprised at the early support we’ve seen to date as this is just an extension of the tight knit community built around Litecoin. To date, the promotion of Litecoin in China has been pretty siloed and we look forward to putting a collective effort behind it to reach many more people and organizations.
To me, Litecoin blue represents the color of the earth. My hope is that the Litecoin blue can spread to every corner of the world some day in the not so distant future and I look forward to helping grow Litecoin Foundation China to make that a reality.
