A blog is the bridge between your brand and the customer.

People look for blogs and avoid ads. It’s something we’re all aware of. But when it comes to the value a blog can give, people usually turn a bit more confused.

When it comes to business, it’s never about the actual business. Makes sense?

Hear me out.

People don’t care about your business. Any affection people might have towards a brand lies in its products, it’s branding, the amount of value it gives, and/or the emotional connection it creates with its customers.

Most people don’t hop on social media and the internet with the intent of buying from you. If they find your business, they’re not looking for your product, they’re looking for you to give them value. And if you don’t give it to them, they sure as hell won’t stay on your site.

The reason blogging is a vital part for a brand’s marketing is because by blogging, you give them that value they’re looking for, and it establishes the connection between brand and customer.

Don’t expect customers to try your product if you haven’t given them anything in return. If you want sales, you need to provide a lot of upfront value. You give, give, give, and then you can cash in on the results.

Brands are still on their way of discovering business blogging. Sure, a lot of big companies use it, but way too few — If you don’t grab your spot, it’s only going to get harder. It’s about speed, establish yourself as an authority in your niche now by going all in on blogging, or wait for your competitors to take that place.

Write about everything in your niche, produce quality content, provide information and once you get your customers to trust your blog content, they’re going to start trusting you enough to buy your products.

The relationship between the brand and the customer begins as soon as they click on your website. If you want them to stay, give them a reason. (And not by pop-up ads about your products.) You need them to leave your website with the answer they were looking for. When you have a blog for your business, they have a reason to come back for more.

If you need some statistics on why blogging is vital to growing your business, here you go:

By being transparent, credible, and answering customers questions on your blog, you create a powerful connection between the brand and customers.

Start a business blog, if done correctly, it’s an investment you won’t regret.
