This Is The Beginning of Something Chaotic
Today I started to question which new blogging/writing website is really the best choice. As I pondered it occurred to me that I don’t have to just take someone else’s word for it. I can actual get a an account on any site that offers free initial content creation tools, and I can try it out for myself. This immediately got the interface developer in me all excited.
What! I can go in and try out all the tools? And maybe I could even decide which one works best?
My next step was to wonder if I should share this experiment. What if I write content across a bunch of different spaces and then experimentally share them with everyone? How can I do that?
Well… now how can I not try to do that. It seems like one of the funnest experiments I have thought about hacking together in a while.
So, here is my very first Medium piece. So far the quality of it is very different from what I have written on Patreon, or on Substack. I imagine as I begin to collect accounts writing patterns will emerge. I wonder if the content will be shaped by the interface, or if I will simply find myself wanting to organize different headspaces into different places. Eventually I will have to find a hub where all this content can be collected and stitched together. Perhaps it will be in my own constructed website which will look like a box with ribbons of content flowing in from every free writing site attempting to win over the market share.
Right now I can’t tell whether I want to evaluate, infiltrate, or simply collage these spaces.
