I wonder if you’d be interested in way to label the differences in communication between autistic people — and those who are not.
Often communication is social. For autistic people it is not — it is functional and it is literal.
A lot of autistic adults are extremely against ABA — partly for some of the reasons you state.
Often children and adults are ‘diagnosed’ ‘labelled’ but they are still people.
It can be easy to see autism as a ‘problem’ when ,in a way, it is just a different way of being.

I think, in society in general and within organisations, there is often a schism between what the language used means on the surface and what it actually means in practice.
How many times have we heard that there are protections for a whistleblower and how many times has the whistleblower being ostracised? 100%?
Thanks for the shout out :) Another thing… in the trenches it was often the wounded that were not treated by Doctors that survived.
The shock at being wounded being a process that shut down the body and saved them..
if they were found by a doctor then, perhaps the flu, but other medical procedures…
The idea behind the piece was wondering how to make sense out of nonsense. So I used something I said for years 'dont make sense make sausages' which had no inherent meaning.

Which is why some individuals move to excuses rather than taking responsibility.
