We started our Enablement Program to empower the next generation of venture capitalists. The tuition-free initiative provides guidance for emerging fund managers on firm-building and fundraising strategies — all in a hands-on, engaged, and caring community. Recast’s program continues to be a powerful complement to our fund investment strategy, increasing opportunities outside our network and enabling us to support more and more managers.

We welcome cohorts of about a dozen participants per term, who each and together reflect the diversity we aim to increase in the venture industry at large. Since officially launching in 2020 and with this sixth cohort, we have now welcomed 78 funds to the program, 78% of which are led by at least one GP who identifies as a woman or non-binary, and 58% of which are led by at least one GP of color.

We couldn’t be more proud to highlight the extraordinary emerging funds spending time with us this session.

100KM Ventures: Investing in early-stage startups in the untapped customer segments of Women’s Health and Future of Work.

AiSprouts VC: Supporting the next generation of breakthrough ventures from innovators who are working hard to change the world.

Chasing Rainbows: Leveling the funding playing field by investing in pre-seed technology and technology-adjacent companies led by outstanding, underrepresented LGBTQ+ founders.

Full Turn Capital: Investing in early-stage companies innovating at the intersection of cleantech and mobility.

Genius Guild Greenhouse Fund: Investing in bold, high-growth startups led by BIPOC founders that use the social determinants of health (SDOH) framework to build market driven solutions that disrupt the $4.3 trillion health care industry.

Halcyon Fund: Investing in early-stage startups dedicated to creating a virtuous cycle between impact and profit.

House of Ventures: Investing early in technical founding teams who are creating the building blocks of the future, while connecting legacy companies with new technologies.

Kaleida Capital: Investing in early-stage startups building the next neurotechnology, deeptech, and life science companies.

Mindful Venture Capital: Leveraging a behavior design approach to early stage venture capital to identify out-performers.

Outside VC: Investing in extraordinary outsiders building an equitable financial system that works better for everyone.

Position Ventures: Investing in early-stage startups and accelerating their success by helping founders nail their positioning and communications strategy.

STH Ventures: Product and design leaders investing in brilliant women-identified founders of color with US-based pre-seed and seed companies.

Streetlife Ventures: Building and investing in the sustainable hardware of cities.

Thank you to all of the impressive candidates who took the time to apply for this cohort. We continue to be humbled by the positive reception from the community.

We’ll be opening applications for our Fall 2023 session in a few months — sign up for our newsletter and follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter to hear first!

A special thank you to our 2023 Enablement Program sponsors: Gunderson Dettmer, Carta, Antares Capital, Pacific Western Bank and First Republic Bank!
