How to verify your KYC in 2 steps to onboard on Recon

Recon is a fintech platform that is helping individuals and merchants carry out payments seamlessly. As part of regulatory demands, we require users to upload relevant documents to complete their KYC process.

The KYC verification process on Recon is smooth and can be completed in 3 steps depending on the document of your choice.

PS: Your Bank Verification Number (BVN) is compulsory to complete your KYC process while you choose to provide any one of the following : NIN, Voter’s card, Driver’s License or International Passport for upload.

1. Start by verifying your BVN

• Tap on the settings tab
• Click on Verify your Identity and select BVN
• Input the necessary details and take a selfie
• Click on Proceed to submit

2. Upload only ONE of the 4 documents.

NIN

• Tap on the settings tab
• Click on Verify your Identity and select NIN
• Input the necessary details and take a selfie with your NIN card/slip
• Click on Proceed to submit

Driver’s License

• Tap on the settings tab
• Click on Verify your Identity and select Driver’s License
• Input the necessary details and take a selfie with your Driver’s License
• Click on Proceed to submit

International passport

• Tap on the settings tab
• Click on Verify your Identity and select International Passport
• Input the necessary details and take a selfie with your International Passport
• Click on Proceed to submit

Voter’s card

• Tap on the settings tab
• Click on Verify your Identity and select Voter’s Card
• Input the necessary details and take a selfie with your Voter’s Card
• Click on Proceed to submit

Verification takes 1–2 working days.
