The Indian Air Force (IAF) has co-located IAF radar controllers with Airport Authority of India (AAI) radar controllers at the Kempegowda International Airport Bangalore (KIAB), to facilitate simultaneous operations from KIAB and the Yelahanka air base.

The IAF conducts ab-initio flying training for its fledgling aviation on transport aircraft and helicopters at Yelahanka air base adjacent to KIAB. IAF had transferred a large portion of its airspace to KIAB earlier to facilitate operationalisation of the first runway at the international airport.

Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) has announced that Bangalore International Airport limited (BIAL) — operator of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport) — has selected Unisys to integrate and manage all IT and non-IT systems for Phase 1 of the second terminal (T2).

Under the terms of the three-year contract, signed in the third quarter of 2019, Unisys will manage the implementation of more than 20 new IT systems procured by BIAL for Phase 1 of T2. Unisys will also undertake seamless systems integration of a complex network of IT and non-IT systems supporting the current infrastructure and the upcoming T2.

The Indian Institute of Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) and Ericsson have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy a NB-IoT based sensor network to monitor air pollution in Delhi.

As part of the MoU, Ericsson will use locally developed air quality sensors that are capable of sharing environmental data including PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 levels at defined time intervals. This will lead to better monitoring and analysis of data collected from different parts of the capital.

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto and AMW Motorcycles have launched 4 models launched ranging from 300 cc to 650 cc in the Indian market.

AMW Motorcycles (Bangalore) Private Limited has set up an assembly plant near Bangalore that has the initial capacity of 10,000 units annually. The bikes, designed in Austria and manufactured in China, are being imported as CKD kits which will be assembled at the AMW Motorcycles facility in Bidadi.

Bosch has inaugurated its expanded smart factory for mobility solutions in Bidadi (Phase II), which is located some 35 kilometers from Bangalore. The plant will act as a local hub for development of Bosch powertrain solutions and manufacture of automotive products such as common rail single-cylinder pumps and high-pressure rails.
