In this month’s newsletter, we thought we would start by discussing the topic on everyone’s mind right now: The Regulation Landscape.
Blockchain is an ever-evolving landscape with regulation standing as a pivotal force in shaping the future of this technology and its adoption. As international bodies and governments grapple with the opportunities and challenges, a new era of compliance is emerging.
In the past month, a key United States House Panel has approved a pair of bills that could finally deliver some regulatory clarity to Web3 and crypto, with the view to protect consumers and provide clear rules for the digital asset ecosystem.
Redbelly welcomes this direction towards regulation and accountability for everyone on-chain and off. That is why everyone on Redbelly Network will need to have verified credentials to participate. We believe in the Rule of Law and that anyone trading and exchanging value on our network is accountable for their behaviour. Whilst regulation will vary depending on jurisdiction, we see that censorship resistance and anonymity will not be supported when trading high value, real world assets in regulated markets.
More details on how Redbelly will support regulation will be shared in the coming weeks and months as we launch our Marketing program and announce our Go to Market Strategy.
This month we are excited to share more news on what the team have been doing behind the scenes in preparation for launching this game-changing platform in the market.
- Our team launched the Redbelly Community Grants Program which is open to anyone that has an exciting and innovative project that they want to build on Redbelly. The website has all the information you need as well as the application form.
- We posted a new Video of our CTO, Prof Vincent Gramoli talking about how Redbelly came to be, which we hope will give you some insight into our inception and journey to date.
- Our current Zealy Questboard sprint is coming to an end soon, make sure to participate if you want to earn some NFT’s which will give you access to exclusive rewards and incentives for involved community members.
As a final note, we wanted to share that we will have some big news coming early September and we cannot wait to announce it to our Community.
Remember that Rome was not built in a day and building a Layer 1 blockchain that has security at its core is a complex beast. With its many years of research, innovation, development and commercialisation Redbelly is going to be an open financial platform that will disrupt the blockchain landscape as we know it.
