Redbelly Network — Month in Review March 2023
🎈 We were absolutely blown away this month by our Node Operator program launch. We received thousands of applications from all over the World. This really confirmed for us the traction that Redbelly is gaining in the global Web3 community. Let’s keep up the momentum.
🌟 Message from Vincent Gramoli - CTO
Over the last month we have updated our roadmap to integrate the IDConnect protocol into our Mainnet release. IDConnect will allow users to authenticate themselves on the network to access different services without revealing any private information.
I would like to thank our community for their enthusiasm around our Node Operator program. It was really exciting for us to see all the applications come in.
Lastly, The Smart Redbelly Blockchain scientific paper has been accepted for publication in the proceedings of the international conference IPDPS 2023 and will be presented in Florida in May. The paper shows how Redbelly outperforms modern blockchains and is well suited to run decentralised applications.
🥳 Achievements in March
💻 Node Operator Program — Thank you to everyone who applied. We received about 3,000 applications globally. We will now be spending the next few weeks vetting all the applications. The full details of the program, including incentives, onboarding documentation and ongoing support will be released to successful candidates around May prior to Devnet launch.
🎏 The new blog this month was written by Vincent Gramoli, and focuses on the Formal Verification of our DBFT Consensus Protocol. Read it here.
✈ Our CEO, Warren Billington, and General Manager, Francois Latouche, visited the India team in Chandigarh this month. This was a great opportunity for our Senior Management to connect and collaborate, in person, with our development team.
🔐 Vincent took part in a panel discussion on “Strengthening Foundations through Security and Audits” as part of Blockchain Australia’s Blockchain Security Summit on 20 March. If you missed this you can watch the recording on our YouTube channel in the playlist.
🚗 As Vincent mentioned above, “Smart Redbelly Blockchain: Reducing Congestion for Web3” has been accepted and will be presented at IPDPS 2023. You can download and read this paper via our Research page.
🎨 We have created new channels in Discord for Russian and Indonesian communities.
🔥 Our local Filipino Ambassador, @aircatchdroper participated in “Blockchill Night” in Davao City in The Philippines. This was a fun evening where local Web3 enthusiasts were able to connect and share experiences.
🛣 We have updated our Roadmap. You can find this in The Solution section on our website. Always reach out via our social channels if you have any questions.
🚌 We also updated the Redbelly Journey. An updated video was released via our YouTube channel, or you can read the update in the About section on our website.
🤝 We have started a Meet the Team series. We want to share with our community who is working behind the scenes to bring Redbelly to life. We will be posting these over the coming weeks and months.
