Great post. I would also add that we need to just get comfortable with asking. The worst they (mentor) could say is “no”. If that happens, we thank them and move on to the next potential mentor.

I’ve also liked the idea of having multiple mentors and from different roles and/or industries. Diversified perspectives has helped me shape my own ideas and strategies.
