A recent change that I brought to my Desktop background
When we glance at a person’s computer background, by background I mean the wallpapers, we take for granted the reason as to why the person has chosen that particular image of the Tesla Model X or a breath taking view of the New York skyline or a favorite manga character or a beautiful model.
We all have our picks, they maybe unique and depend on something we like or feel fascinated about, maybe even something that just randomly crossed our minds.
It is funny how sometimes, we stare at these mesmerizing images and get lost in the chain of thoughts that may not even be related to what the wallpaper maybe.

I’ve had a fair share of wallpapers on my wise old laptop. But recently I put up four new wallpapers and I’d like to explain what was my thought process in choosing them.

This line right there is golden. Expectations are like poison, the quicker you distance yourself from expectations, the better your life becomes. We live in this world where people expect from others to whom they provide favor’s, so as to say expecting a favor in return, and we I could list other possible examples, but I hope you get my point.
Some times we need to have expectations, cause the circumstances call for it. For such circumstances, I use the overthinking technique which comes naturally to me and to a lot of people, where I think over of all possible outcomes of an expectation, and sort of relieve myself of the disappointment by thinking about it before hand and not be affected at the time it lands.
An example could be, you ask your friend to get you something to eat. Right here, there are two outcomes, first, he gets you something to eat, second, he doesn’t. I bet you’re hungry and when he forgets to do what you expected of him, you feel disappointed.
Here’s when you play out the possible outcomes, and have a plan B. This plan B could be asking another person to get something for, someone you know is more reliable etc.

This image has created a powerful impact on me, especially because I firmly believe in the reasoning of living in the present. Living in the present i what a lot of us don’t do, we are too worried about the future, too sunk in the mistakes of the past.
Past cannot be altered, the future is full of uncertainties, but the present holds the key to shape up, up to a certain limit, how our future could be. Striving to be productive and efficient with 24 hours in a day, yet having enough time to live life, is what we should aim for.

A little while back, I read this book called “The magic of thinking big” — David J . Schwartz. This book has brought within me tremendous amounts of change. If you haven’t read this book, GET IT NOW. I’m not even kidding, it explains key things to lead a happy, successful life.
Staying positive can do wonders for you, it can bring you back up when you’re down, it can help to improve your relationships, get you to be more productive.

I’m on Quora most of the time, there was once this question posted with the topic relating to ‘harshest truth’s in life’. One key point in one of the answers, stuck with me and it said, ‘You are alone in this world, and the only people who would love you selflessly would be your family’.
To be self confident, to be successful,to be a good husband, to be a good human, it important for us to realize, we must appreciate ourselves. Be someone that makes us happy.
If we learn this very basic principle that the day we change ourselves for the betterment, inside-out we bring out change. That is the day we direct ourselves to a healthier and happy life.
