complimenting me complimenting you

The short of the long. (cause I wrote a long rambling essay about this too)

I recently spent an entire night alone, making videos of myself telling old friends 5 reasons I love them. And the responses I got generally sounded like this:

“Thank you so much for making that, you big weirdo. I laughed hard and teared up a bit and it could not have come at a better time. Thanks, friend’s name”

That is a generic remake of the responses I got but more than 50% of them did say that the video had come exactly at a time when they most needed it, and aside from the one person I talk to everyday (of the group I sent it to) I could not have known my friends were feeling down. Maybe we are all walking around needing someone to say “hey, you are really great and wonderful and I care about you” or maybe I have magically intuitive powers, but I would bet you a fiver it is the former.

I felt great about myself after making these. And then I got to make my friends feel great too. So do yourself a favor and make a god damn video professing your love and admiration to your friend.
