Oh, really, all men? Or just some? A few highly influential ones? Or just a general drumbeat from all the 3-leggeds? Or is there just an unspecific but implicit lack of encouragement? An understanding, as it were, backed up by Cosmopolitan magazine for example, which rarely shows women in horn-rim glasses wearing white lab coats in sexually suggestive poses, thereby glamorizing STEM careers, and making one a goal of young women everywhere.
I wonder if you can back up YOUR belief.
p.s. I had marginal math teachers, and still kinda suck at it. Nor when I was working in the mine, factory, or construction site did I receive much encouragement to become a software engineer, except in the form of the smell of shit in my nose, which was actually a great motivator.
