OK just stay on the defensive while the world is being so unfair to you then, I wish you luck with that strategy. This was a real situation, and in case you missed it which you seem to have done, I’ll put it in caps: MY BOSS AND I WERE BIASED IN FAVOR OF THE FEMALE CANDIDATE. So yes, there you have it, and admission of unbridled favoritism. However under those circumstances I could not justify going against the OBJECTIVE EVALUATION CRITERIA. If it were a larger company perhaps with more time and resources to develop upcoming talent it may have been a different story. Except that companies rarely invest in employee skill development anymore, in my experience.

I suppose now you will claim my programming trial was biased. As noted, the entire world is pitted against you, a very uncomfortable position to be in, especially with a wolf in sheep’s clothing like myself, who would even dare to subject a woman candidate to an objective test and deny her her rightful place at the feast of software developer goodies because she could not or would not write actual functioning Javascript code. Truly outrageous!

Does it scare you that I have two strong, intelligent, and successful daughters? They can also change the oil in their own car, and one remodels her own house. But I was unable to interest them in coding, to my regret. BTW your attempt to belittling someone who is actually on your side yet offers an alternative to “cry for me” advice needs work. I was writing software when your father was still changing your dirty diapers.
