Random acts of kindness:

While I was doing the online course on random acts of kindness, it reminded me that performing random acts of kindness, is something that I need to incorporate more into my life on a regular basis. I actually had a warm and fuzzy feeling inside knowing that many people have done so many kind things to me. I too have done many kind things to others; but, I had still not decided to incorporate this small thing into my life. I immediately realized that life is about being a blessing to others; however, there are times when people need to see tangible things done for them. I found out that there are many ways to show random acts of kindness.

There are five examples of how I performed small acts of kindness for others. Today, it was a very sunny day and on returning back from Engineering consultancy i hired a rickshaw. On reaching home, before quenching my thirst i gave a glass of cold water to rickshaw driver first. He smiled and very humbly thanked me.

After all my hectic routine, today i managed to take out time and prepare evening tea for mother. She is happy and prayed for my success.

Today i bought a new piece of clothing, donate an old one to my servant. She thanked me as she was really in need of that due to change in weather but can’t afford it.

Today, I search my school teachers on social network. On exploring i found one of my favorite teacher who made a difference in my life through a constant motivation so i just contacted her. I thanked her for her services. i admired her qualities and her role in my life.

One more act which i did today is that write a positive feedback on fellow’s blog to encourage her efforts and to motivate her.

I believe that these “random acts” are really not so random. I believe they are well-placed reminders of our purpose — to befriend each other, and to share our blessings generously. My plan is to keep some change in my possession so I can “give forward.”
