As a Brit, I am still to this day, confused and frankly baffled by your “Right to bare Arms”.

Surely, if Guns were made illegal, then there would be less of these atrocities?

I also find it appalling how the law enforcement officers in the U.S. seem almost un-prosecuteable when it comes down to letting off their firearms.
