Let the internet catch up with you
A state of done for your daily dose of links
Discovery is key for Refind and thus the feed is front and center. However, we don’t want this to be yet another endless feed of links — we have enough of them in our lives already. We want Refind to be useful and use as little of your time as possible — until it has something to contribute.

In this spirit, we’ve recently rolled out a new feature: a state of done.

How it works
It should be self-explanatory but for those interested in the mechanics, here’s how it works:
- We divided your feed into two parts: new links and old links.
- The parts are clearly separated by a blue line.
- Both new and old links are ranked (a function of time, #saves, similarity to saver, etc.)
- New links have a blue border on the left.
- When you scroll past them, they get marked as seen.
- A link is considered old if you’ve seen it or if it hasn’t been saved by one of your friends in the last 24h hours — thus users who visit daily benefit most from this feature.
- When you reload your feed and there are no new links, you see a message on top — that’s the state of done.

PS: If you want more links in your feed, follow your interests here. If you want less links, unfollow people and tags that are not relevant.
PPS: Our goal is to make Refind the feed with the highest signal-to-noise ratio for your (professional) interests. We have a very long way to go but we’re currently working on some important steps and this will be our focus for the next weeks, months, and years.
