Regarding Birthdays, I can relate…always wondering when Allah is going to bless me with a real celebration, instead of the loneliness of a life that appears to matter to no one but Him. I abhor the fake heartiness of siblings who refuse to interact during the rest of the year, but then with a self-congratulatory tone in their voice, fulfill their duty of the obligatory birthday phone call in which they do nothing but talk about themselves. No more will I respond to the fakeness of their phone calls, because for a person who tries to be loving and kind to all people, and doesn’t curse, I am on the verge of telling them all to go to hell. However, it is much better for my soul, to never, ever answer their phone calls again, and stop participating in their pseudo relationship dance from Satan’s rule book.

It is suffering that shoots streams of creativity out of my heart, and the brokenness of life that explodes my heart into its soul.
