We all have deep dark secrets of brokenness. Do we let the cracks and fissures lead to the shattering of our souls and dreams? Does the darkness of our brokenness strangle our hearts that are too tender anyway from the scars and pain of life? Our minds have a basement where the monsters lie in wait to attack you right when you enter the room that is usually locked. When I dig deep into those tunnels I find there is always a hand waiting to pull me up — I cry out “help!” to the One above who always, and I mean always, pulls me from the not-really-an-escape lure of the grave.
