Thank you for posting your heartfelt and pointed thoughts. I recently moved here from Toronto and can’t belive the amount of NIMBYism there is in Silicon Valley. When I was looking for housing a few months back, I went from Livermore to Soquel, down to Gilroy and up to South SF… either too expensive, too far, or terrible schools.

No one builds up, no one want’s to intensify, there will come a tipping point where people just will not or cannnot come here. Take a look at comparison shots of Toronto in 1998 and 2012.
