The Kingdom of God is beyond pleasures and excitement. But it is an accessible realm of the righteousness of. God. It involves integrity, justice, virtue, holiness, rightness, the correctness of thinking and feeling. And these make us appreciate the peace of Jesus more. Not the wordly peace which has not been able to end wars and conflicts. The peace of Jesus does not cause troubling hearts nor fear but it brings reconciliation. It is this peace that produces joy in the Holy Spirit. Without these, it becomes difficult to be a true Christian in this dark world which is under the control of the evil one. It is those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, who gets filled with the joy in the Holy Spirit and receive other blessings.
