Faith Seed: Thy Rod and Thy Staff

There is no denying that the world has become a valley of the shadow of death. The next minute has become unpredictable. But by the spirit of this scripture, do not fear. You are not alone. The presence of the LORD is with you. The rod of the LORD is the sign that you belong to the King. It represents; the mark of authority, a weapon of defence and symbol of workmanship. It sets you apart as untouchable, well guarded and guided. The staff represents your symbol of acknowledgement and trust in the LORD for support and sustenance. The writer of the book of Proverb says; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Acknowledge Him to direct your paths through the valley of the shadow of death. Through these, you receive comfort, compassion and contentment in the midst of calamity and scarcity.
