For a while we have been talking about virtual reality and virtual tours as perfect mediums to help you visualize a location, property or business without being there, thereby creating ease for all.

Did you know they can also save lives? Allow us enlighten you for a minute, let’s do the math and dig into the facts

Lagos State has slightly over 23million people residing and doing business in it currently and this population is increasing every year at a 3.2% rate. The annual increase in population is as a result of urbanization and with that also comes a rapid growth of privately owned cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and even boats. All this has resulted in traffic congestion which in turn has a negative impact on the environment.

Lagos State has approximately 2,600 km of roads which are constantly congested every day, with over 1 million vehicles plying the roads on a daily basis. (African Association of Public Transport, LAMATA). This is alarming!

Researches have also revealed that approximately 17.5million people residing in the State inhale a high quantity of poisonous gases everyday which over time results in deadly diseases and increases death rate. According to WHO, exposure to these poisonous gases contribute to the death of 7 million people i.e 1 in 8 of total global deaths. Currently, air pollution is now the world’s largest single environmental health risk.

All this means, the less number of cars on the road, the less air pollution, the more lives are saved and ultimately SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

There are a number of reasons why people are on the road daily, one of which is to search for new accommodation whether it is for residential or commercial purposes. People waste time and money searching for new properties by spending long hours in traffic, spending scarce resources on petrol for mobility/transportation. Real Estate business owners on the other hand also waste resources while arranging property viewings.

We set out early this year to create the FIRST VIRTUAL VIEWING REAL ESTATE PORTAL IN AFRICA that allows people view any kind of property for sale or rent from their mobile phones, PCs or virtual reality headsets from the comfort of their homes, offices or wherever- What we are trying to say with this solution is YOU DON’T NEED TO DRIVE THROUGH TRAFFIC, POLLUTING THE ENVIRONEMNT AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE LOSS OF LIVES JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ACCOMODATION. Our portal www.propertiesin360.com will soon be launched
