I have an ex who is bipolar and used to enjoy cocaine during manic phases.

the images are visceral. fork in leg because took away coke. not letting the person drag you down. this is the lot of being compassionate about another who has problems. many friends have issues, but one has to read the signals that determine when one has had enough. it’s a crap shoot, because often we absorb too much of another’s pain.

writing about it mutes the agony of real life. we put it on paper and burn it then turn to other things.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
