Eating right at night: 6 foods that help you sleep well

When it comes to food, most people often are divided within two potential philosophies — Enjoying food to the maximum or consciously eating keeping in mind how many calories are going in the body. Whichever you end up choosing, much like batting in cricket, timing matters the most and not just placement. The food must be consumed well in time for it to be digested in our tummies, which is responsible for keeping our body in a good, healthy state. It is a given that it must be of good quality as well. There is a method to every success, and a sound night’s sleep is one of those.

There are 6 outstanding food options to help you achieve this important daily goal, which are as follows –

1) Bananas

This fruit is amongst the cheapest and simplest to purchase and eat. Calcium has a dual advantage, in the sense that it helps converting the tryptophan into a sleep-inducing hormone called melatonin.

Another natural in the food family, fresh herbs such as chamomile and hop are used in teas as well as basil and sage are used in cooking commonly, especially Italian food. Herbal tea and water go a long way in bringing you the sleep you desire.
