Nicely put! And here’s the proof that common sense does have an audience, despite the clutter ~ I found, and read, this very piece!

One of the biggest hurdles in the so-called progress of new media is that it is, by and large, in the hands of “techies” and engineers who don’t understand content in its essence, and content as engaging stories; mostly just the technology. As long as this happens, we will continue to suffer meaningless “innovation” in this space. Until the next bubble bursts, and the next, freshly-discovered “metric” comes into play.
