I mentioned in a previous article that for me, PKM is a life practice.

In essence, this means that PKM is more than just taking notes on things I’ve read, or a tool for learning. It’s a way for me to find my way back to myself, to learn about myself as I learn about the world and about history. It’s a way for me to place myself in the world, and layer my experience against events happening right now, and those of the past. I know this sounds abstract and wishy-washy, but I have a whole article explaining this. PKM Beth also touches on this in her article on her biggest PKM influences, as well throughout the majority of her content.

What I want to delve into now is how my PKM life practice looks, in practice. Because in theory, it’s great. But I have to make a concerted effort to build my PKM habit, and to reach for PKM system as a tool to make sense of the world, and to make sense of my place in it.
