When we are young, we are unaware of any kind of pain or suffering. There are several people around us to take care. As we grow older, we understand the meaning of pain. But suffering still we don’t know.

The pain even if it a small hurt can be unbearable. But suffering is something which comes after a deep pain, which can last longer. Sometimes it can turn into a trauma.

The word trauma is something which is long lasting and can have deeper effect on the health of a person suffering from it or can affect a person who is taking care of someone going through the pain or distress.

It can affect the mental health of the person. Some can come out of it but some cannot. It haunts them throughout their lifetime.

What are the adverse effects of this?

Lack of self-esteem, delusions, anxiety, or panic attacks, always in pain, boxed, broken, decrease in social gatherings, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, etc. It can also lead to depression and sometimes untimely death.

How to come out of it?

Diagnosing it at an early stage. Ask for help and confide in someone extremely close and comfortable with. It can be a family member or close friend. Next step is seeking assistance and counseling with the help of a certified medical practitioner. Science has advanced so much that there’s cure for everything.
