Wolves FC (Short)

English football club founded in 1877. It represents the city of Wolverhampton in the Midlands region of western England, and currently plays in the English Premier League. Known as “Wolves”, historically, it is one of the clubs that have had a significant impact on English football, most notably because it is one of the founding members of the Football League, as well as they played a key role in the establishment of the European Club Cup Champions League , and later to become the Champions League.

Wolverhampton Football Club was founded in 1877 under the name Saint Luke, before the name was changed after that. Wolverhampton plays at the Moulinex Stadium, which accommodates 31,700 spectators. The team lived its heyday in the fifties, as it won the League title three times in 1954, 1958 and 1959, as well as the FA Cup in 1949 and 1960 and the Charity Shield in 1949, 1954, 1959 and 1960.
