An ecosystem for tech product launch and scaling

That’s kinda fun how we keep losing time and money on all the types of business development contractors.

Starting my blog here with the interview on Trood story we’ve been preparing for Petacrunch before we realized they are on hold for now (except for their billing form). While we can’t wait long for the things to go further, publishing the interview here (thank you Medium):

  1. How would you describe your company in a single tweet?
    Trood is a software engine and the ecosystem for tech product launch and scaling. We help non-tech teams and businesses run their own IT products by providing our development framework, infrastructure, and AI-managed outsourcing platform.
  2. How did it all start and why?
    We started by providing a low-code platform for custom business management systems as this was and still is something far from being perfectly covered.
    Meanwhile, the software development industry boomed and the automation concepts changed, which resulted in the need for anyone to create their own product. This is how we found a great niche in helping Product Creators — people who strive to launch innovative products in the field they have deep expertise and vision.

    Our experience in backing our first customers with our low-code software engine showed us the deep demand industry experts have for managed engineering labor. That’s how we decided to go beyond low-code technology itself and build an ecosystem with supervised Trood-powered freelance engineers and business developers.
    Basing on our partners’ and customers’ stories and needs, we also designed Trood to become the one-stop shop for protecting intellectual property and product code, integration with marketplaces and analytical tools with an easy-to-use mission control dashboard for founders.
  3. What have you achieved so far (team/product/clients)?

    We have more than 10 great products from different industries running on Trood, which we call Trood Family, supported by top industry experts. Importantly, recently Dr. Max Gutbrod (https://maxgutbrod.com) has accepted to take the position as President for Trood Corporate Solutions (including Trood Legal, Trood Air, and Trood Oil for now).
    At the early stage of Trood Family development, we had a chance to work with some international business accelerators, such as 500 Startups and Starta. Today we are ready to share this experience to implement all the best startup scaling practices into the AI-powered platform, which is to be released soon.
  4. How will you use your recent funding round?
    As a first goal, we are going to grow our presence on markets of startup development and IT outsourcing. This requires building a strong community of developers and attracting business clients through channels we’ve already tested. Mostly this concerns new strategic partnerships for Trood Family, further scaling of Trood Contracts, and more active market capture for Trood Core.
  5. What do you plan to achieve in the next 2–3 years?
    We want to be the first-choice solution for any tech product creator.

    We already allow startups to launch tech innovation easier and faster, and making it accessible to founders with non-tech backgrounds.

    We believe that we can build a hub spot for visionaries, businesses, and engineers, where they could jointly turn tech ideas into ready-to-scale products, or just implement custom tech projects, with a clear structure of collaboration, technology, and business management

    If we achieve this, we believe we could have 1 out of 20 new US tech startups run on Trood, and 1 out of 10 freelance developers working on US projects work through Trood Contracts.
    The challenge of digitalization will involve many more IT solutions. Accordingly, the demand for top-market software engines is almost unlimited.

    We are starting our US journey, and encouraging industry experts, businesses, startups, venture firms, business accelerators, and angel investors to share our way ahead to the new world opportunities.
