I give so that my hands are empty and ready to receive the new blessings that are flowing my way. When I grasp my money, my time, my ideas too tightly there isn’t any room or ability to accept something new.

I recognize that not all community benefit organizations are created equally and that well intended people doing stuff with good intentions may actually contribute to the issue rather than solving it. So, I practice some discernment and conduct some research (most of the time). On more than one occasion in 2015, I just gave without due consideration and let the chips fall where they may.
