Wild Flowers

“There I something to be said about wild flowers,

They extract a price from me

They bloom where they want to,

And I pay in miles to find them

They appear when they want, defined by seasons unknown to me,

My price is to wait without knowing,

Wandering on trails waiting to be surprised

I have loved a few wild flowers,

And reveled in the cruelty of their wild nature,

Unable to take them back with me

Such is the price of wild love”
