Investigating Judicial Misconduct in Maricopa County: Judge Charlene Jackson facing allegations of misconduct
A Maricopa County Judge is facing dozens of misconduct allegations. After only a year on the bench, allegations against Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Charlene Jackson are piling up. Judge Jackson is facing allegations ranging from failure to disclose relationships with attorneys to presiding over cases involving her own family members.
Jackson is accused of ignoring substantial evidence of significant Domestic Violence and Child Abuse while presiding over multiple Child Custody cases. Court documents claim, “Jackson fails to comply with or respect the law, violating multiple parts of the State’s Judicial Code of Conduct.”
In another instance, Jackson is accused of presiding over her niece Paige Jackson’s Child Custody and Child Support Case. Judge Jackson’s niece has a long list of criminal cases in Maricopa County and Pinal County Courts. Photos on Jackson’s social media show her niece present while there were active warrants for her arrest. A public records search shows Paige registed at Jackson’s home address in Queen Creek.
Judge Jackson while under the name of Charlene Jackson-Louis had her own contentious Child Custody case involving issuance of an Order of Protection against her ex husband Jay Louis. Coincidentally, Judge Jackson’s case is assigned to the Southeast division where Jackson is assigned.
An arrest warrant issued out of Maricopa County remains outstanding for Jackson’s ex-husband Jay Louis.
Multiple parties on Jackson’s docket allege Jackson fails to follow Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure when issuing orders.
Jackson is also accused of depriving parties of their rights to due process and failing to follow proper legal procedures.
Jackson’s husband Paul Etnire is in Law Enforcement with Arizona DPS. In multiple cases, Jackson is accused of issuing biased orders in favor of parties with backgrounds in Law Enforcement.
Upon watching FTR video recordings of hearings, we witnessed Jackson comfortably using profanity and unprofessional language during formal Court proceedings.
Thus far, Jackson has avoided any discipline and public accountability.
