Please do not patronize me, Leonardo. The subject is not delicate to me. You can not possibly “understand”. I’m sorry if my frankness has offended your sensibilities. I stand by my original statements, and I will explain why. It took nine years and six doctors to get a diagnosis for my thyroid. Because, like you, rather than listen when I told them somthing was wrong or trust that I knew my own body, they assumed I just needed to diet and exercise. Had they actually listened and done their job rather than making assumptions, I might have had effective treatment sooner. They, like you, just asked a question. It was the wrong one. So is yours as is the idea that you are allowed the familiarity to ask it in the first place.
