Attention! 6 steps for a perfect journey, guaranteed!

1. Packing up

Preparing to leave might be one of the most important stages of the traveling process. You have to pack your stuff, everything you’ll need for the journey; your clothes, your entertainment for the plane, all your documents and also your accessories.

Preparing to leave is not just about packing, you also need to leave things done, like school assignments or projects, say your goodbyes to your loved ones and set your mind in the fact that this is happening, and you are leaving.

2. Are we there yet?

Probably the first thing that you’ll want to do is go to the bathroom, and that’s perfectly okay but you have to be sure you let someone know, like your teacher, parents or friends so they don’t worry.

The weather will be different, people too, they might even speak another language, but relax and enjoy, you may not realize that you are in another country or city, just wait a little bit and trust me, you’ll feel it.

3. Homesick? What’s that?

If you are feeling lonely or homesick it is normal, but it’s important that you realize it’s a temporary journey, you’ll come back home, there is no point on wasting your time wishing you were home, take advantage of your situation, explore, discover, but if you still want to contact home there’s always Facebook or WhatsApp.

4. Are you ready for THE journey?

The journey will be exciting but also exhausting, you will be in permanent movement, although you are super excited, remember you need to sleep and rest too. You’ll learn so much from other cultures, new food, new behavior, and new views; but also, you’ll get to know yourself.

5. You have to go home someday

You might not want to leave but it is important to take time to accept it and organize so you don’t leave things behind, pack your stuff, make lists, get rid of stuff you no longer need and be sure your personal documents like your passport are in order.

6. Home sweet home

Getting back home is weird; you were in another country having a totally different life and now, PUM! You are back home, tired and with jet lag, but don’t you worry, that lasts just a little bit of time, then you get to remember and enjoy everything you did in your journey and tell people your adventures, but the best thing is that now you are ready to do it again.
